Have you ever heard of a man who could turn plain old water into wine?
I’m talking about very good wine, worthy-to-be-served-at the-beginning-of-a-wedding great wine…. not a barely noticeable cupful but Thirty Gallons !! Thirty gallons of water turned into great wine with a simple word.
♦ Jesus turned water into wine with just a word! (John 2:1-11)
Have you ever heard of a man being able to know all about someone’s past?
I’m not talking about some basic generalities that apply to anyone…. but all the details about a person’s current and previous marriages – all without the aid of technology or social media !! A complete stranger knowing all about someone’s past.
♦ Jesus knew the woman of Samaria had been married 5 times and the man she was with was not her husband! (John 4:16-18,29)
Have you ever heard of a man who could make a lame person walk?
I’m talking about someone who was known by many and verifiably unable to walk for Thirty Eight Years !! Thirty-eight years of being lame overcome with a simple word!
♦ Jesus healed a man who had been lame for over 38 years by just His word! (John 5:5-16)
Have you ever heard of a man who could feed over 5000 people?
How about having no money and only a few helpers facing a tired hungry crowd which numbered about 5,000 men, not counting women and children – and the only food available was Five Loaves of Bread and Two Fishes !!
♦ Jesus fed over 5000 men, women and children with only 5 loaves and 2 fishes! (John 6:1-14)
Have you ever heard of a man who could walk on water?
How about walking out on a stormy sea being stirred up by strong winds – for a distance of Three to Four miles !!
♦ Jesus walked out 3-4 miles on a stormy sea to get into the disciples boat! (John 6:16-21)
Have you ever heard of a man that could cure a person born blind?
Since the beginning of time such a thing had never been heard of… so the parents were summoned and they testified that yes, their son really had been born blind !!
♦ Jesus opened the eyes of a man born blind (John 9:1-33)
Have you ever heard of a man that could raise the dead?
How about someone who could raise a man who had already been dead and buried for Four Days !!
♦ Jesus raised Lazarus from death after he had been in the tomb four days! (John 11:11-45)
Have you ever heard of a man that was killed, was buried and then rose again from the dead?
I’m talking about someone with witnesses – that many saw him killed and many saw him alive again !!
♦ Jesus was crucified and buried, but on the third day He arose from the dead! (John 19-21 / Matthew 28:5-7))
